Weekend & Summer School

Hadith:
Uthaman ibn Affan Radiyallahu ‘anhu narrates that Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: “The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it.”

- Astoria Islamic Center teaches students the morals, values, and characteristics in becoming a good Muslim

-Our students learn Quran, hadith, and Sunnah, so they can implement it in their daily lives

-Weekend classes are held during the children’s academic school year

-Class begins at 10:30 A.M. and finish after Zuhr prayer both Saturday and Sunday

-Girls are taught by qualified female teachers, boys are taught by the Imam, and other qualified male teachers

-Summer school begins the first week of July and ends the last week of August

-Summer school is held five days a week, and more in depth curriculums are taught

-Graduations are held at the end of the summer session, where students receive certification based on their merit
